At my site for a research group, I would like to be able to link directly to the publications of a certain author - instead of having to type the name of the author in the search field. Can I do that? Moreover is there any plans for multiple language support? I'm using joomfish at the moment. One more thing. Would it be possible to keep the references in the database, when upgrading to a new version. Would be very nice not to have to reimport :) Thanx a million for a great component! You could create a menu item with the link such as :
http://www.everythingthatiknowabout.com/Joomla/component/option,com_jombib/afilter,browne to basically preload the author filter with a name. That link was created with search friendly urls on, you might need to put ?afilter=name at the end of your normal jombib url. I do not currently have any plans for multiple language support I'm afraid. As for the upgrades, I will release a separate "patch" version of the upgrade in future when no changes to the database have been made.
